Donegal carpets were first created in the late 1800’s early 1900’s, during what was called the Arts and Crafts movement in Western Europe. French Accents has recreated the Donegal design, texture and weaving techniques exactly how they were created at the turn of the century. These carpets can often be recognized by the bold colors and large design elements. These colors and designs are often primitive, which makes placement in a home often simple.
We use the finest blend of mohair and wool, just as they did in the original pieces 100 years ago. This unique blend lends itself to the natural luster, elegant softness and long lasting durability found in each carpet.
