Aubussons also known as flat-woven French Carpet are one of the most widely recognized rugs today. It was weaved primarily for nobility and the wealthy. These floor coverings were ambitious in size and weaved at the village of Aubusson and Felletin, in the department of Creuse in central France. Aubussons were one of the first product lines French Accents specialized in. Our goal was simple, to recreate the same exact weaving technique, style, texture, and quality. We sought to make it affordable to the average person. A rug that was once made for nobility, finally became accessible by French Accents, so that everyone can appreciate the splendor of the decorative Aubusson rugs.
